How it fits together
Orbit is the centre: it signs people in and knows who they are, which organisations they belong to and what they can open. Every product works from the same source, so a person added once is known everywhere.
Orbit Exchange sits between them. Products announce what happened as events, and Exchange keeps the shared records everyone reads, such as an organisation's name and logo. Products never reach into each other's databases, so one can be down without taking the others with it.

Status and Orbit Exchange
See how everything is running
Status shows each product's health and recent incidents. Orbit Exchange carries events between products, such as a page being published, and shows where each one went. Events that can't be delivered straight away are kept and retried.
If one product is down, Orbit keeps working and tells you what's missing.
