Every custom satellite starts with a conversation. Where it ends depends on who it is for.
Only yours
A commissioned satellite appears in Orbit for your organisation and no one else. Your people open it with the sign-in they already use, it sees only your organisation's data, and it changes when your way of working changes.
Because it is built like every Orbit satellite, it is not a one-off project to look after on its own. It is hosted, secured, backed up and monitored with the rest of the platform.

A custom satellite is a full member of the platform, not a separate system bolted on.
Questions
You bring the problem and we shape the idea together. If we decide it would be useful to many organisations, we build it as part of the Orbit family, and you help shape it as a launch partner. If we decide not to, you can still commission it as a satellite of your own.
Yes. A satellite you commission is built for your organisation and used only by your organisation. It is never offered to anyone else. What you own, such as the code and the data, is set out in your agreement before we start.
It depends on what it needs to do. After the first conversations we send a written proposal with the scope, the timeline and a fixed price, so you know what you get before anything is built.
Everything the other satellites get: sign-in and single sign-on through Orbit, your people, roles and regions, Orbit Exchange events, the audit trail, AI agents that need a person's approval, EU hosting, backups and status monitoring.
